The Fusion Flask has been precisely engineered with longevity in mind. With fully stainless mechanical parts and a durable platinum cured sealing element your flasks should stay functional for a life time. That being said such high functioning materials require a small amount of “breaking-in”. Flasks will come with the caps screwed all the way down to set the sealing element in place and stabilize the compression set. When you receive the product, play with it, turn the spout, let the spout click in and out of locked positions and watch your twist get smoother and smoother. If you feel that the lock position clicks are difficult to locate, put the neck in a position where only one chamber is open and screw the cap all the way down for 24 hours to allow the gasket to adjust its compression set.

Storage

Before storing your flask away for an extended period of time, we suggest you hand wash it with dish soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Make sure the spout and cap are off in order to promote proper air drying. On models with serial numbers that start with “PT” (located on the bottom of the flask) the gasket may also be removed. Once the flask is completely dry, the cap and spout may be left on during storage.

Damage

Although built robustly, exposure of the flask to multiple or severe shocks (drops, impacts, etc.) can break seals and components. Please ensure you inspect the chambers thoroughly after drops/falls and before each use to make sure nothing has broken off into the drinking area. If your flask does experience damage leading to anything apparent in the chambers, please stop using the item and discard it. Additionally, any leaking or “rattling” can be indicative of broken seals and/or components and the flask should not be used in these cases either.
